Orders Filtering: Control Which Orders Earn Loyalty Rewards
By default, every order placed on your store is processed by your loyalty program, whether it earns points, native Shopify store credit, or completes a referral reward. Orders filtering lets you control that, so you can exclude (or exclusively include) orders based on sales channel or order tags.
This is especially useful if you sell on multiple channels. If you list products on marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, or Temu, those customers are interacting with the marketplace, not your store directly, so you may not want those orders earning loyalty rewards the way a direct website order would.
Where to find it
Go to Loyalty program → Settings → Main, and scroll to the Orders filtering section.

How it works
You can filter on two independent conditions: sales channels and order tags. Each one has three modes:
- No filtering is the condition ignored; all orders pass through
- Only these is a whitelist; only orders matching what you specify are processed
- All except these is a blacklist; every order is processed except the ones matching what you specify
Sales channels
Click the Sales channels field to pick from a list of your store's sales channels (Online Store, Point of Sale, etc.), then choose whether to whitelist or blacklist them.
Order tags
Click the Order tags field and type a tag name, then press Enter or , to add it. You can add as many tags as you need. Choose whether these tags act as a whitelist or a blacklist, then save the page.
Combining both conditions
You can set both a sales channel filter and an order tag filter at the same time. When you do, an order must match all the conditions you've set in order to earn rewards. Matching only one isn't enough.
For example, you could restrict earning to your Online Store sales channel and separately exclude any order tagged wholesale. An order would need to satisfy both to earn rewards.
What this affects
Orders filtering isn't limited to points. It applies to anything your earning rules would otherwise award for that order:
- Loyalty points
- Native Shopify store credit (if your earning rules award store credit)
- Referral rewards: a referral is only completed once the referred friend places a qualifying order, so an order excluded by these filters won't trigger the referral reward either
If an order is filtered out, it's excluded from all of the above.
Filtered orders still count toward your plan
Orders filtering affects your loyalty program only, it does not affect billing.
Your Froonze plan tier is based on your store's total monthly order count, and every order counts toward that number, including orders you've excluded from earning rewards. If you filter out a portion of your orders, your plan tier is still calculated on your full order volume, not the filtered subset.
Order tag timing
If you're using order tags to exclude orders, the tag needs to be on the order at the moment it's created, not added afterward.
Common use case
Exclude orders coming from a marketplace sales channel (e.g. Amazon, eBay) so that only orders from customers engaging with your store directly, like your Online Store, earn loyalty rewards.
